GCSSA supports a wide variety of shooting sports. Whether you prefer cowboy action, precision rimfire, competitive pistol, multigun, or something else, we have a discipline to interest you.
Airgun
We host a variety of airgun matches including Airgun Field Target, Indoor Airgun, and Outdoor Airgun matches. More detail can be found on our calendar by clicking on the event titles.

Cowboy Action Shooting
Single Action Shooting Society (SASS) cowboy action matches combine historical firearms, costumes, and theatrical personas for a uniquely fun shooting experience.

Competitive Handgun
Competitive Handgun (in the style of Steel Challenge) is a speed shooting competition where competitors engage five steel targets as fast as possible, making it a pure test of speed and accuracy. Competitors can use rimfire or centerfire pistol cartridges in long guns or handguns. It is one of the most beginner-friendly shooting sports.
Dates: 4th Wednesdays, April through August

Sporting Rifle
Sporting Rifle matches test accuracy and marksmanship at distances from 50 to 300 yards using centerfire rifles, rimfire rifles, and airguns. Competitors fire from standing, sitting, and prone positions, challenging both technique and equipment across a variety of target formats.

Multigun (3-Gun) is a dynamic shooting sport where competitors use a combination of rifle, pistol, and shotgun to engage a variety of targets in timed stages.

NRL22
NRL22 is a national precision rimfire rifle league where competitors engage small steel targets at varying distances using .22 LR rifles, emphasizing positional shooting and wind reading.
Dates: 3rd Saturdays, Year Round

Precision Rimfire / Benchrest
Rimfire benchrest shooting is a precision shooting sport where competitors fire .22 Long Rifle (22LR) rifles at paper targets from a seated position at a stable bench.

Rimfire Long Gong
Rimfire Long Gong is a precision long-range shooting game using .22LR rifles on steel targets placed at long distance. This discipline tests a shooter's ability to calculate wind and bullet drop with low-power rimfire ammunition.
