About GCSSA
The Gate City Sport Shooting Association (GCSSA) is a 501(c)(7) non-profit organization that manages the Oregon Trail Shooting Range. It is funded entirely by membership dues, guest fees, and range use fees.
Our Mission
To provide a safe, convenient venue to practice the shooting sports for our members and guests; to facilitate and promote the safe, ethical, and responsible use of firearms; to encourage and support new shooters; and to foster and grow organized shooting sport disciplines through sanctioned events that are safe, fun, family-friendly, and interesting to both our members and our broader community.
Our Facilities
The Oregon Trail Shooting Range consists of:
- One large covered shooting range and multi-distance target areas (up to 380 yards)
- Three 100 yard, covered shooting bays
- One 25 yard, covered shooting bay
- A trap shooting area (to the south of the main firing line)
- Gulleyville - an old west themed area that is reserved for GCSSA approved events and competitions
