About

The Gate City Sport Shooting Association (GCSSA) is a 501(c)(7) non-profit organization that manages the Oregon Trail Shooting Range.  It is funded entirely by membership dues, guest fees, and range use fees.


Our Mission

The mission of the Gate City Sport Shooting Association and the Oregon Trail Shooting Range is:

To provide a safe, convenient venue to practice the shooting sports for our members and guests; to facilitate and promote the safe, ethical, and responsible use of firearms; to encourage and support new shooters; and to foster and grow organized shooting sport disciplines through sanctioned events that are safe, fun, family-friendly, and interesting to both our members and our broader community.


Our Facilities

The Oregon Trail Shooting Range consists of:

  • One large covered shooting range and multi-distance target areas (up to 380 yards)
  • Three 100 yard, covered shooting bays
  • One 25 yard, covered shooting bay
  • A trap shooting area (to the south of the main firing line)
  • Gulleyville - an old west themed area that is reserved for GCSSA approved events and competitions
  • A club house & parking area
